The Wassi Group partnered with JDR Engineering and Ferrero USA to capture accurate existing conditions within a complex tank farm at Ferrero’s production facility. Because a new access platform needed to be designed around active piping at the tops of multiple tanks, the engineering team required highly reliable spatial data and coordinated modeling.

Project Scope
First, TWG performed high-resolution 3D laser scanning across the tank farm, capturing tanks, piping, and surrounding structural infrastructure. Next, our team registered and processed the scans into a unified point cloud. Finally, we developed an accurate as-built BIM model representing existing conditions with engineering-grade precision.
As a result, the engineering team gained a reliable digital base for layout coordination, clearance verification, and access platform planning.
