The dewatering wheel serves a critical role in separating a mixture comprising water, sand, and gravel. Loos Service & Supply, Inc. approached TWG with a pressing need: to develop comprehensive documentation from scratch, owing to the unavailability of original documents. This initiative aims to create a detailed model that includes every facet of the dewatering wheel’s design, operation, maintenance procedures, and safety considerations.
Project Details
- Client: Loos Service & Supply, Inc.
- Category: Computer Aided Design
- Tools: Dassault Solidworks
Using SolidWorks, TWG was able to model every nut, bolt, plate, and connection for both the dewatering wheel and its platform. Along with this model, fabrication drawings were created.
Note the difference in stair orientation here – part of the design feature of the dewatering wheel for Loos Service & Supply, Inc. was a configurable platform.
Down to every last bolt and tolerance between plates – every detail matters.
