The Wassi Group (TWG) was contracted by Illinois Piping Co. to support the mechanical and HVAC coordination efforts for the new East Peoria Police Station. Our role focused on creating fully coordinated 3D Revit models and producing detailed 2D drawings to aid in mechanical planning, clash detection, and construction efficiency.
Services: BIM Coordination, 3D Mechanical & HVAC Modeling, 2D Coordination Drawings

Project Scope
TWG collaborated closely with Illinois Piping Co. to develop accurate and installation-ready 3D models for HVAC and mechanical piping systems.
Working within Revit, our team created detailed system layouts to support interdisciplinary clash detection and installation planning. These coordinated models formed the basis for producing sheeted 2D drawings used in field installation and contractor review.
Our scope of work included:
- Full 3D modeling of mechanical piping and HVAC systems in Revit
- Participation in BIM coordination to resolve conflicts with structural, electrical, and architectural disciplines
- Creation of 2D coordination drawings and sheet sets
- Delivery of a clean, organized Revit model reflecting coordinated mechanical design

Results
TWG delivered a fully coordinated BIM package that enhanced construction efficiency and reduced field conflicts for Illinois Piping Co. The final deliverables provided:
- A BIM-ready Revit model optimized for mechanical installation
- Clear and accurate 2D coordination drawings to support field layout
- Reduced clash issues through proactive BIM involvement
- Streamlined installation planning and improved project efficiency
- A single, unified reference model for mechanical and HVAC systems
By leveraging Revit and structured BIM coordination workflows, The Wassi Group delivered a precise and reliable mechanical modeling package that supported smooth construction of the East Peoria Police Station.
