Windmill Blade 3D Scanning

Power Curve is a company located in Denmark and reached out to TWG to laser scan various windmill blades. Power Curve creates vortex generator panels which attach to existing or new windmill blades to increase efficiency by reducing drag, as well as reducing noise created by the blade.

TWG has scanned various blades all around the United States for Power Curve.

3D Scan Data

Utilizing our BLK360, TWG is able to capture every angle of these blades and produce high-quality point-clouds for use in wind-analysis and airfoil design.

Autodesk Inventor Modeling

Utilizing various section cuts through the scan-data, a 3D model is created.
